I am finding a lot of parallels to my experiences. I read several of the Koehler books during my eagerness to start training dogs. I had a few bad experiences training my best friend, my 110 lbs American Bulldog. Luckily he was very forgiving of my mistakes. And together he became very accomplished despite me. Good to hear your story. It was riveting. Thank you for sharing.

Mike, the fact that you get emotional talking about the dogs that you trained in the past in a manner that you were not happy with, is very much related to why you are such a great trainer and mentor!!
