seems like we narrowed down the issue tonight. last lesson was complete sits/downs and push ups, but seems as if Lou was using a little too much hand to place Eddie back into position and less and sometimes almost no leash to teach correction. Eddie seemed to have been swiveling to avoid the hand. There is also lesser chance that it may have been related to facing Lou to look for treat.
Regardless we worked on it by doing the push ups on a platform today and being sure to not use the hand and concentrate on gentle leash corrections. If he backed up or swiveled he would break his “climb”, so Eddie is going to work that way for a week to get out of that habit and just concentrate on the chain reaction and correct positions. Eddie and Lou did awesome on starting the heel tonight!
