Hi Andy. How old was she when you got her? Have you had her since a puppy or did she come from another home or shelter? Also when she is resting and you go near her what is by her? Does she have any toys or bones or possesions around when this occurs? Have the verbal or jerking corrections she’s recieved before been somewhat i timidating to her. This position is a very voulnerable one for dogs to be in already. An association can be made to the dog if you are not calm and gentle. This can seem intimidating to the dog even if you haven’t necessarily put a hand on your dog if its done in a certain manar. All these little bits of info help to know.
