    I reread what I wrote (Lacey’s bone) and understand “why” what I said was misunderstood. I knew what I meant – but phrased that sentence so poorly that I created a misunderstanding. My apologies.

    Yes, Allie. THANK YOU. It’s a “trade off.”

    No, I don’t ever just “take her bone, simply because I can” … there’s always a a trade off. After she eats (or goes potty) she always gets her bone back – and (I think) she knows she will always get her bone back.
