    I know it’s a breed trait, but prevalent in many breeds, when going after larger game a dog trained to bite, and hold will be a dead one unless they bite, and hold the weapon, whether claws, head or hoof.

    Dogs of different breeds I’ve had over the years will usually see something coming turn loose, and come back in even harder if they get clipped. And on larger prey many won’t grab until the owner arrives.

    Such is why the bite and hold had me confused.
