    Excellent.  It sounds like you are handling the situation the best that you can considering the circumstances.  It is always sad to know of dogs with a desire to protect and work, but have no proper outlet to turn to.  It is very similar to the tragedy of many juvenile delinquents that have not had the opportunity for proper outlets to turn their energy and talents toward.
