We can do longer stays. Me and Pixel are competing in IKC & British Kennel Club obedience (different rules than FCI one). Dogs are staying 1 min in sit and 2 min in down in line with other dogs.
There is also different skills needed for it, like competitive heel (again different than in FCI with handler hand on the hip), dumbell, scent recognition, send away etc. It took me a moment to work it out how to teach Pixel and do not get him totally confused. Traditional heel versus competitive heel! I think now we are slowly getting there, but it took me few months to make sure he understand it all.
