Thank you Art! This was their second session, they have accomplished so much submitting video homework etc. I probably wont do p3 with them. I learned from Mike, helping me work through mistakes in this area, to really take the whole pyramid into account and the older dogs do have some sensory deficits (or are art least at risk for onset). These handlers are wonderful but green, so I worry about their discernment (without help) of their dogs behavior and its relations to aging. I think it would not be fair to put the dogs through the learning process. These clients don’t have a lifestyle where lack of p3 off leash control will be a deal breaker, I think we can give the girls quite a lot of freedom on a flexi with lots of classical conditioning and appropriate expectations.
