I have not heard this before, I was under the impression that I was teaching it the way that was most LIMA and up to date with the 4.0. I am confused about this and how this wouldn’t cause more corrections with an ecollar if the dog is under the impression that sometimes they may only get a leash pump. The handler would have to be super aware of competing motivators and I remember avoidance conditioning being very specific about consistency of motivations. I like the idea of freeing up a hand, but thought that was the end goal of avoidance conditioning being done properly.
