    One modern-day issue is that many dogs are no longer being bred for their original functional type and only for looks, that is why it is also important for trainer to know what “normal” vs “abnormal” behaviors are for certain breeds before making a plan for an individual dog.

    Breeding standards are so low in the US in particular.
