Ziva

Ziva seems to be a purebred GSD probably from a show line.  She was picked up as a stray in Chicago and spent several months at a shelter down there.  Her time was up and a local GSD rescue agreed to take her if they could find a foster.  They asked if we would take her as a 3 week foster and we agreed.  She turned out to be heartworm positive when we took her to the vet so our three week foster turned into about 4 months while we went through the heartworm treatment with her.  After that was complete we decided she had been around long enough we should keep her.   She is not very high drive but loves to play fetch and do nosework.  Great relaxed dog.  Glad she was able to find us and get out of the shelter.  Her only behavior problem is barrier frustration when dogs or people are close to her and she is restrained from greeting them.  After that she completely relaxes and goes about her buisness.
