First video.
Kiba Phrase 1 - Heel & down on and off leash in the public access area using body language and marker "good boy or dog". Teaching the behaviors before adding the word command. Additionally, Kiba has been taught to bring the leash when drop to prevent the dog from running away if the handler is no longer in control of having the leash. (service assistance dog requirement). Kiba has been taught with e-collar the pager function as a cue and nick function as a reinforcer for non-compliance.

Kiba Video – Eight agitators inside the gate and on tieback.
Plan – Based on the previous video of agitation drills, it showed issues with control and me being pulled over. To mitigate this, use a tieback instead of taking the risk of a longline when the dog is in the momentum of hitting the end. A bungee tieback is used to assist with control.
0:01 – Heel command (Improved from doing drills with pre-cues such as setting up the phone, locking the dogs away, putting on the leash, etc.) for agitation drills.
0:08 – Bungee tieback is put on. (Kiba expects an agitator)
0:11 – "Watch" cue is given to alert Kiba to a potential threat. Kiba looks at the tree where the agitator normally hides and starts barking in anticipation.
0:16 - Kiba spots the agitator coming out from hiding inside the yard. He's surprised but holds his ground and continues barking.
0:18 – Notice the bungee correction, and Kiba stops moving forward but continues barking. When the agitator gets outside the gate and turns to hide behind a tree, Kiba moves in the same direction as the agitator.
0:24 - Kiba gets corrected by the bungee and backs up.
0:27 – The gate starts swinging open.
0:29 – Kiba moves forward again to assume the chase when the agitator appears out of hiding and runs to a tree further back.
0:38 – Kiba starts pulling away from me while the agitator is back in hiding behind the tree. I suspect Kiba knows agitator is still there. (Not sure to the pulling away done there?)
0:45 – The agitator comes out from hiding and starts approaching us.
0:46 – Kiba moves forward to challenge the agitator.
0:48 – Correction with the bungee while the agitator gives a little win by backing up.
0:50 – Kiba starts pulling away from me again but holds he ground.
0:57 – Kiba holds his ground as the agitator comes out of hiding again. As Kiba tries to move forward again, another bungee correction occurs, and Kiba starts trying to pull away from me.
0:58 – The agitator gives Kiba a big win and leaves as Kiba moves forward to chase him away and receives another self-correction from the bungee, causing him to move backward.
1:07 – I release Kiba from the tieback, and we both move forward to make sure the agitator left. The gate is open, but Kiba stops there to see if the agitator left. This behavior is likely due to repetitions of the gate being shut and him not being able to move forward to chase.
