here is the link a short info on hecs, and link to friend herder check out quirt.

Electrical Energy in Humans and What It Means for Outdoor Recreation
Electricity dominates our life, even before humans discovered how to use it for technological advancements. The majority of species on earth generate electricity. It’s how our bodies function. So, what does this mean for outdoor recreation? It’s a detail that’s overlooked, but what if wild animals are still sensing your presence, even if you’ve masked your scent and concealed yourself well?

Read on to learn more about bioelectricity and how to block the human electric field so that you can further enjoy your outdoor experience.

    What is Bioelectricity?
It’s true. The human body produces electricity. However, it’s not in the same way electricity flows when you flip your light switch. That type of electricity is generated by electrons (negatively charged particles) flowing through a current. The human body produces electricity chemically. This is done mostly through positively charged ions such as potassium, calcium and sodium.

All of our bodily functions are controlled by the electrical signals that are generated in our body. As a refresher, remember that everything is made up of atoms. Atoms are made up of protons (positive charged), electrons (negative charge) and neutrons (neutral charge). When these get out of balance, this will dictate whether the atom is positively charged or negatively charged. Additionally, when an atom makes a switch between one charge to the other, this lets the electrons flow from atom to atom. This is what we call electricity. Our bodies are made up of massive amounts of atoms, which means we generate electricity.

You’ve heard about your nerves sending signals to the brain. Well, this is done through electrical impulses carrying messages from point A to point B. Instead of a wire sending an electrical current, your body generates electricity through its cells. This means an electrical charge jumps from one cell to another. This happens fast, and you understand how fast. Think about one of the times you stubbed your toe and how instantly you felt the pain. That electrical pulse went from your toes to your brain in an instant.

This is a basic understanding of how electricity runs through our bodies. It controls all of our bodily functions, from pain signals to muscle movement and more..https://hecsllc.com/about-hecs/electrical-energy-in-humans/

as the dog is learning,5-26 weeks, eyesight, odor, body language, phermones–note phermones not exactly same as odor. power of bacon vs fuzzy love . there are different and can determine which is highest value.

eyesight: clever hans studies show physical cues were possibly eye and pupil dilation. so smallest infraction or adjustment can have longterm effects as well as overwash.

My status on dogs many times is they see the same items over and over and accept them as gibberish, so finally ignore all, (after all.. i wag my tail and you people suck up fast), they ignore ALL your cues till stimulated- or also see every tiny one-but in dogs mind they reason..(dogs reason).. but because you (human) don’t communicate well, i will ignore–your flooding my brain with all this body/odor/phermone/ language to sit,sit,SIT..SIT!.. until you add something interesting to make it worth my while.. fyi, go ask your wife/spouse a question 6 times in a row and tell me what happens.. and do it every day..have fun with that..as you get older its more fun!

now think phermones and odor and body language and vocal…now….. magnetic wave form.. a company called hecs has been producing camo/concealment materials for wildlife viewing and hunting. works on wet suits with large predatory fish, bears, deer, etc.. it simply diffuses those signals partially. I bought it and will uses it, many times because of the cold i have to mask up also full attire which shuts off some extra signaling,, then we can communicate on what we do know,, a neighbor and customer from my regular work(automotive) is Wendy Azqui, world champion herder and watching her dogs work at 1000-2000 yards away is impressive all off of whistle and tone.in high wind ..her dogs listen and reason,

I think the hard part of this is not the dog part… as much as it is the people part. For a base line I have used and try to get people to do this. Its called the Myers-Briggs test. There is a nifty online test you can take and it helps… and sometimes hurts what we think of ourselves…Keep in mind you can hide nothing from a dog or a child very long…

    Here is a link:https://www.16personalities.com/

Just to be open about this It will help develop you as a trainer to at least know this info as well as what you better and need to work on areas are with communication both with your dogs/family also with clients.. Good to have clients take it also..when problem solving…usually causes a discussion!!

There are no good or bad personalities…But there are many methods to apply info.

My main personality is infj… If i am real tired,, heavy stress etc.. sometimes it floats over to intp ..

    try it!

wind, change locations, time of day, early mornings are great but afternoon heat changes, cross scents with other dogs, people, equipment, break some brush/plant limbs on the track, break some plants over, distractions,,,,that will make some challenges! post some video if you can..good luck!

Looks good, control every ounce of food, absolutely… every ..ounce.. Especially on the big dogs, meaning Dominant. But also all resources.. even The game….

To me setting up the Que for what the dog see’s, Consistently, is where we start..

who hasn’t had a dog wait at back door because he saw suitcases loading in car,,expecting to go for a ride or on a trip..? umm how do they know–we tell them..

Some dogs are insanely observant and really we should expound on that..
we waste alot of time sometimes not going/working with the dog,, but it is a 2 edged sword as well on the big dogs..they can pick up on us–on items that we should not include them….

I actually stopped at gunner kennel headquarters in Nashville i was there at a k9 seminar with Nino Drowaert, and just kicked in my 2 cents with the folks there.

i just think you could use the peltier tech in a more consumer version and have cool dogs, versus all the senseless k9 overheats.

your kennel size looks better for shepherds which is my preference. do you have a ac unit or individual fans to help keep cool?

all the photos are slow at coming across my mobile.

    thanks

oh i think he just needs some confidence, he/she? backs up slightly even before that,  a little encouragement after the encounter goes a long way, baby steps. Could be made into a  very nice protection dog–is this the eat all men –jump out of the plane 1st time out and stand down a grizzly– 1st time out–no– but if the arm sleeve guy comes back tomorrow–Rottie might pick it up a notch.. I am sure Mike has  some comments that are better.

fyi great video–i still like the 2 gsd’s on the guy in red pants–what do you do when you run out of shoes? and rocks? Ha !

    1. whatever you do don’t run.

2.officer unfamiliar with dog and unfamiliar with this type of situation thought himself in danger. could have waited? dogs posed a threat? Don’t know the complaint. or history.

    3. video is sad event that is probably replayed daily across the U.S.

    4. i probably would have pivoted and stood firm like the dummy i am, and i think the dog wanted to jump up and say hi as most untrained dogs do. and then kneed him for being a dunderhead. and other dog probably would have launched into him harder.

    5. I really think some basic k9 behavior training might have helped pd folks.

I have seen one of my past dogs look at a line of people and if one of them was dressed different or started acting different, maybe waving arms etc.. he would focus on that person intently. Also the dog really barking at us in the gray dodge noisy diesel, every gray dodge the rest of that day got super attention. Maybe next 2 days.. breeders and police folks like that quality as it can save lives.. but living with it is a fulltime job. And explaining …whatever way …to the dog that hey I got this.

Carefully and not aversive takes some patience.in this photo he is in that mode, it’s a busy street and it’s cold and he is frisky to say the least.
