Maya

We adopted Maya when she was a year and a half from Brooklyn ACC.  Maya came into the shelter as a stray and was very malnourished and had clearly had a litter of puppies at a young age.  She was instantly an amazing dog and required very little training.  She is sweet, kind, loving, and happy.  She is great with all dogs and people including children. She is basically 100% perfect when it comes to training and has helped many of our foster dogs that have come in and out of the house over the past 5 years.  She has automatic recall and is easily pulled away from a preferred activity.  She is the top dog of our pack which consists of two other very large males.  She has had a rough life medically since we have had her with a few near death experiences - a bad spay which caused internal bleeding, getting hit by a car, hip dysplasia- but has always miraculously pulled through.  She loves going on walks, wrestling, and snuggling.
