Tell us about yourself: | I have owned dogs for 20 years and had a rescue organization for 3 years, rehabilitating many different breeds of dogs and finding them homes. I did punishment based training for a short time, then positive training and agility. I also studied to be an RVT for 1 year. During this time I interned as a vet tech in a surgical facility with board certified surgeons. I have a deep knowledge medically of dogs having been through many medical situations with my own dogs, as well as doing one year of RVT training. From a training perspective I know the basics but I always have trouble applying the principles consistently and developing a training program. So I'm here to learn more. I currently have two very challenging dogs, behaviorally beyond anything I've experienced before. |
