Sam (full name Samdog. Don't ask.) is our old grumpy yet loving lapdog. Originally given to my sister-in-law for her birthday, my wife took her into our home when her sister's work schedule kept increasing to the point where she could no longer dedicate enough time to Sam. She has been with us ever since, save for when we were stationed overseas. She is definitely that little dog that jumps 4 feet in the air over and over again when you get home until you pet her, although we have been working to improve upon that. She can be a bit grumpy with new dogs at times, but she always warms up with time. At the end of the day, she is a total sweetheart that always knows when you are sad or sick. She is also the first to hear every sound at night and alerts the big dogs to go do the barking.
