About:
Alvin was a trainee police dog who failed the program at 18 months. He is intelligent with good listening skills, but has never lived in a house or with a woman. Alvin is currently having trouble with boundaries (with regards to furniture and knowing when saying no means we will not play) and with semi-aggressive play such as standing upright with arms on shoulders and mouthing our arms. He does this most with the female member of the house. He also mounts her in these times. Alvin is great on a lead and with basic commands. He is crate trained but his usual kennel is outdoors and much bigger with a run. Our goals are to 1) keep him off the furniture 2) keep him from playing rough or forcing play when we say no 3) crate training and 4) ensuring he is well house trained and knows how to tell us if he needs to go. Alvin also becomes fixated on other dogs in the park and lunges if they come close, but we can manage this currently so the in home behaviours are top priority.
