yeah it’s starting to hit me that you and Toro will not be around. Don’t worry about egotistical trainers. The interpretation of his reply was really “I don’t know how to do what you are doing and I am closed minded so I will just put it down” lol!
Most dogs do not target weapon arms because the trainers used sleeves in early training or are training the dogs for sport and want to see the dog take a beating. There is no way anyone could ever convince me that going for the weapon arm is wrong. The right way and the easy way are seldom the same thing in dog training.
I may not LOVE sport type training, but I will still cater to my clients desires if they are looking for an outlet for Schutzhund, French ring, etc.. type agitation.
You will find someone with an open mind.
