Hi Allie, thanks for explaining the difference between clear enticement and distractions that don’t necessarily “trick” the dog. I’ll have to break out the chicken nuggets next time.
Could you explain more about layering the eCollar with the leash? Do you mean doing them simultaneously? If so, do you have concerns on how the dog would distinguish between the two? Is it possible the starmark could “mask” the nick? How do you know when you can fade away the leash correction, or perhaps begin spacing it out more? What are the physical mechanics of doing both simultaneously – remote in one hand, leash in the other?
