Glad to hear someone is speaking up! I believe AKC is headquartered in Manhattan, I can’t imagine they would endorse this, especially if some of the national breed clubs started pressuring them with the knowledge that this sort of legislation makes ownership of their dogs difficult if not impossible. AKC has considerable legislative resources, if deployed at the state level they would likely have a significant impact.
