I remember reading that somewhere and I feel that we as humans probably share more DNA with dogs and domesticated animals like sheep than we do with chimpanzees just by observing the behavior. However in the case of the wolves from ancient to current species and now dogs. That’s only 10-20k years of evolution among them vs 5-6 million years between apes and humans. From an evolutionary standpoint it’s really not a lot of time so who knows, interesting topic nonetheless
