Good call I need to add this to the command sheet and break it down better. As for distance, I should add that. I add distance to retrieves or chained commands after the behavior is completed…unless adding small distance will assist the dog in learning. It’s easier (in my experience) to build nuance, duration, and distance, after the dog is proficient in a controlled and easy setting.
You’re right though this is a sending Command so the instruction should include that and what the handler should do as their part of that completed task.
My favorite chained command was Storms retrieve with firearm. So fun and she loved it. I’ll see if I can find it on here. Thank you for your feedback and taking the time! I appreciate it and will move this into template.
