Hey, unfortunately I have not seen the video I rely on the file to read.
At the ratio stage, it is always good to mention that the reward is not only treats but also stroking and affection 🙂 You also mention right away a very thin reward schedule of 3:1 and 4:1, keep in mind that you are also being watched by people with puppies and such a reward system will quickly lead dogs into frustration in the early stages of training. It’s always better to start with “more often” than “less often.” Simply saying that you always want to reward your dog the least amount possible to maintain motivation can lead to frustration issues, rather rely on a fair exchange where your dog does something for you and gets something in return and this is where stroking (and play!) comes in if you don’t want to use a ton of treats. Of course, you need to reduce the amount of rewards, but you can do this so that the dog doesn’t even notice it by slowly reducing the amount of rewards.
Overall it is good, it reads well and is understandable to the viewer 😛
