Oh man! I apologize for not having the training record posted. I actually just reached out to Dustin to get a new log and I’m going to put some notes together. Yes! You are right I am working on fading. And I do teach Vetra so that I can teach others….But mainly (I hope I don’t sound trite… but for me, with my dog anyway) the results are less valuable than the process.
Like….I want to make sure there isn’t a single lesson missed or step skipped….I want us to go through each learning moment together in a way that teaches both of us how to lean on one another. She’s not a client so I don’t need proof of product…and her “job” won’t start for another 18 months….to set a foundation for that I want every moment to be for us to grow together. I don’t want to fade out of the equation (which is partly why I wouldn’t want to switch to a mechanical marker). I think the process mostly affects her perception of me and long term emotional (cognitive) responses to me.
Does this make sense? I’m probably emo rambling….but I think that Exchange would be the technical word.
