Sorry I wasn’t trying to insult your level of experience. I just don’t think they have anything to do with one another.
I agree that a dog can be very soft when not doing protection work. But i feel that is because they had good bite inhibition prior and because protection training is not then generalized to all experiences, but rather to specific instances.
