Glad you are seeing some success with Bob! I agree it does sound like he is settling in with you
About rolling in the grass: if you are taking a leisurely stroll then no problem- let him enjoy his romp in the grass.
If he seems to be interrupting the walk very often to do this , I would only allow him to do it on cue.About the muzzle- what brand did you get? Does it have a loop for a flat collar to slip through or a center strap. You can sometimes get the muzzle a size up if you have those other safety features.
