Thanks for your feedback. They came to realise that they can not keep the dog. The husband knows someone and he has owned pit bulls before. I explained to disclose all the information/behaviors they have seen. He has two adult children. Pics and videos sent. Seems like a good match. Again, thank you all for responding
Thanks Mike! I did stress my concern and that it would be best to re home the dog. I even suggested to bring him to the shelter where he would be placed in a more ideal home. I will follow up with them this weekend and hopefully try to convince them. Thanks for your time.
Thanks Allie! Yes, I did explain to them they need to get some of that energy out. They will be putting something on the doors that will hopefully prevent him from unlocking them hopefully soon. He has improved being in the crate when they leave for work. So I am hoping if they work on desensitizing him when he is outside the crate, he won’t feel the need to escape. I did suggest a walk-in kennel but they didn’t want it. They are expecting their first child so there is no extra rooms – limited space. I appreciate your feedback!
