Sure I’ll look into that. But the tail fixation occurs at pretty predicatble times. If it was a health related issue, I’d imagine she’d be fixated on a more random cadence.
I have not. I guess I will do it next time I am at the vet. But I’d be surprised if that were the issue since this has been a behavioral compulsion since I got her as a puppy. Moreover, she’s not really going after her butt, but rather is fixated on her tail.
Ok thanks! To be clear, she doesn’t chew it. It’s more like fixation for 2-10 seconds and then a sudden attempt to nip at it but she rarely actually gets her tail inside her mouth, and she never holds it long enough to chew it.
