It seems that holding owners more accountable for their dogs and upholding leash laws would help more than breed bans.If people had to pay large fines for off leash dogs or dogs that cause injuries to other animals or people maybe that would help more.I walk my personal dogs daily in a local park and it drives me nuts when people let their dogs run loose and get offended when I don’t want them to come up and say hi to my dogs. Most of the time the loose dogs also have zero recall and that’s the owners fault 100%.I guess it’s easier to blame the dog than the bad owner.

What a great idea! My property borders a gun club I guess I’ve always taken it for granted that my dogs get desensitized to the noise early.Where do you get ear protection for your dog? I’m going to have to try bringing my girl to the range for a little more up close training.Great job with her as always your videos inspire me!

Off leash dogs with poor to no training and recall are an almost daily occurrence where I walk my dogs and it drives me crazy. There’s signs posted everywhere to keep dogs leashed but nobody ever enforces it.I’d be lying if I said I’ve never let my dogs run in a back field unleashed but if I see anyone heading our way my dog is recalled and leashed.I’ve had people running in circles around myself and my dog chasing some yapping little dog more times then I can count and while I don’t agree with everything in the article out of control dogs are a huge nuisance.I was talking to someone about it recently and back when I was younger most people in my neighborhood didn’t bring dogs out they stayed in the yard and rarely went anywhere and us kids knew which yards to stay out of.Maybe it goes with the whole purely positive movement that people just don’t discipline dogs and as someone who’s worked in a school district for 34 years definitely a change in many children’s behavior too.

Such a great video it’s nice to see fear aggressive dogs and their handlers being given confidence and control it’s how I came to discover FSDT.When I got my Dutchie puppy during the Covid lockdown it became obvious very soon that Daisy had fear aggression and I needed help.I ended up at a trainer who had graduated from the course and it really opened my eyes to real training.I had used a different trainer previously who put an E collar on my dog reactive rottie and basically Just blasted him with it which obviously did not work and I’ve spent a long time undoing that damage. Anyway my girl and I gained confidence and I learned control to the point I can take her anywhere and she’ll ignore people.I don’t think I’ll ever be comfortable with strangers approaching her and she’s never wanted pets from the decoys lol but loves to fight them.I enjoy seeing your posts it inspires me to keep plugging away with the coursework your clients are Lucky to have you.

Hi I have a Rottweiler that goes through the exact same issue every winter as soon as any salt or ice melt is used. I have had decent success with mushers secret on his paws but the only thing that really helps is keeping him off pavement until the weather is better.
