    Hi Dustin

You are 100% right on several things. Records are not sexy. But very important especially on a legal aspect of working dogs. You dedication to creating and sharing you work is extremely thoughtful. I don’t want to know how many hour you spend creating and recreating them to get them to the level they are now. Great work sir.

To add to Allie who has forgotten more than I know about dog training. Do not rush leash manners. You can have some bad side effects, that will make it much harder for the dog. Remember phase 1 there is no “wrong”. When I started with Taliana on leash manner we simply walked, as long as she was close and not pulling we walked. The moment you started pulling we stopped until you relaxed and got close. The reward was the walking. She loves to explore her new world. Take your time and follow the steps.

There is a lot going on and a lot missing. From what I see this is the first right to a limited resource issue. I am also assuming the pitty had claimed the new puppy. So when the girl picked it up the puppy, the pitty saw that as a challenge for leadership over the first right and attached. I am sure that dog was showing signs of these coming for a lot of time. Leadership is very important with dogs, especially with bully breeds. The worst part of all of this, due to a poor understanding of dogs and a misguided approach to dog ownership, this big boy will pay with his life now.
