Today we went to the new riverfront walkway to practice a little control. This was a new environment for Orfeo with LOTS of new distractions. People were working on boats, new smells, dogs, strange people in close proximity. Orfeo’s adrenaline was going crazy for sure. It was difficult to get him settled into a decent heal as he was so aware and concerned with all of his surroundings. We frequently stopped to do our “steps” and eventually he settled in. He did very well not barking at the other dogs passing and did good with the joggers passing within feet of us. We must work on focusing in new environments with higher distractions. All in all was a very nice walk.
